The Best Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe – An easy chocolate chip cookie recipe made in minutes. These are the best homemade chocolate chip cookies ever!
There’s nothing better than chocolate chip cookies from scratch! A warm, fresh chocolate chip cookie with a big glass of milk is comfort food at it’s finest.
I’ve tried a lot of chocolate chip cookie recipes over the years. I keep finding that many of the recipes have at least one long wait time. They require you to either wait a couple of hours to bring the butter and eggs to room temperature, or wait for the dough to chill in the refrigerator for an hour. Sometimes both.
I’m too impatient! 🙂 I want to be able to relax on my couch and suddenly decide I need some homemade, soft, and chewy chocolate chip cookies. Then, have them baking in the oven in just a few minutes!
What makes this the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe?
- Texture: The cookies are soft in the middle and chewy around the edges.
- Flavor: They have a sweet, buttery, toffy-like cookie flavor, loaded with chocolate chips.
- Quick & Easy to make: No bringing the ingredients to room temperature. No chilling the dough. The recipe can easily be whisked together, instead of using a mixer. And, it’s a ONE BOWL recipe.

OMG – when you say the BEST easy chocolate chip cookie recipe – you mean it… Great easy recipe. Thank you!!
I made them today! They were delicious 😋 😍! I made them a little smaller than what they should be and I did put a few on the side without chocolate chips for my mom, she loved it too!
The cookies turned out very nice I love this recipe
Just made my first batch of these delicious cookies 😋 and they’re all gone already.. my family loves them .. Making more right now
Simply amazing. Cookie has great flavor and texture. I used dark chocolate, semi-sweet and Bailey’s Irish Creme chips – oh my! I will be keeping this recipe in use often. Thank you.
Im all about easy and delicious. These were simple and turned out fabulous. Will always be my go to for chocolate chip cookies. thank you for doing all the hard work and telling me the secret.
I am partial to my own chocolate chip cookie, which requires my stand mixer, and making and freezing dough balls before baking. I was truly shocked at how good these are….caramelly from the melted butter, great sugar ratio (not too sweet), chewy & crunchy, and NO MIXER! New favorite!
Oh my gosh I just baked these…they are perfect!! Very easy recipe thank you so much!!
This is an okay recipe, but not the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever made/had. Unfortunately, I lost my favorite recipe for this classic cookie. This one will be made until/unless I find my favorite.
Made cookies exactly as directed. We’re beautiful and soft! Love this recipe! Definitely a keeper! Thank you!
Super yummy, perfect texture, and so easy! Thanks for the recipe!
The BEST chocolate chip cookies EVER
Even GF. Thank you soooooo much!!!!😊😄🍪🍪👍👍👍👍❤️💛💚💙💜
My daughter made these cookies. Awesome. I sent the recipe to my best friend – she loved them. And tonight, I made them myself. I am BAKING CHALLENGED! Great at savory and bad at baking. They came out perfectly. So much better than any other chocolate chip recipe I’ve ever used. This is the ONLY choc chip cookie recipe I will ever use again. They are easy and absolute perfection.
Way to much butter! Had to add 1/2 C more flour. But very good tasting recipe. I made 3 batches and froze the rest.
Can margarine next substituted for the butter? Ok to freeze the batter and bake few days later?
extremely sweet, great if thats your thing but feels too unbalanced for me.
I don’t know why my dough was so runny…
I used the correct amount of all the ingredients.
As good as the famous hotel cookies. I cannot believe how good they are…WOW!! n Many thx.
Loved not having to cream the shortening. Used Criso and butter.
Hi! If I want to add walnuts what’s your recommended measurement? Thank you!
Made these last night for me and my boys. They are delicious! The perfect amount of soft and crispy.
I used coconut oil instead of butter. Next time I will probably do 1/2 coconut oil and 1/2 butter.
Sorry I’m later, but if you were still wondering… a good rule is half the amount of chocolate chips. (For 2 cups chocolate chips, use 1 cup of nuts) 🙂
made these today… by far the best recipe I’ve ever tried. Delish!!
I’m not a baker, and these came out delicious! Really easy too!
Didn’t have chocolate chips so i made it without it, was delicious
I added a bit of coffee to one of the batches and cocoa to the other one.
Thank you
